1. Who We Are
We are a non-profit spiritist study group called “Estudo de Obras Espíritas Selecionadas – EOS Manaus,” dedicated to disseminating studies on foundational Spiritist works and certain works psychographed by Francisco Cândido Xavier. These studies are conducted by our group at spiritist centers located in the city of Manaus. EOS Manaus is not affiliated with any particular spiritist institution.
The EOS Manaus Privacy Policy was created to reaffirm our commitment to the security, privacy, and transparency of information associated with our website (https://www.eosmanaus.org). Here, we describe how we collect and handle data when you navigate our website, so you are fully informed when using services or contacting us through available communication channels.
By accessing and/or using this website’s content, you express your full and unconditional acceptance of the terms stated here, even if you do not explicitly confirm through the privacy notice (by clicking the “Accept and Close” button). If you do not agree with any of the terms and policies outlined here, please do not access and/or use the EOS Manaus website.
2. What Personal Data We Collect and Why
In the contact form, we collect and store your name, email, and phone number to facilitate communication with our audience.
For users who register on our site (if any), we also store the personal information provided in your user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for changing their username).
We retain collected information only for the duration necessary to provide the requested service. When storing data, we protect it through commercially acceptable means to prevent loss, theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
3. Use of Cookies
We use cookies. Cookies are small, simple text files that websites store in your browser to save your preferences and settings. For example, when you visit a website that uses cookies for the first time, the site sends a text file with your preferences to your browser, such as region, email address, chosen language, colors, suggested products based on your searches, etc. When you revisit the site, your browser will send this file back to the site, so your preferences are applied automatically without the need for reconfiguration (unless you want to change them).
If you have an account and access this site, a temporary cookie will be created to check if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and will be discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in to your account, we also create several cookies to store your login details and screen display choices. Login cookies are retained for two days, and screen option cookies for one year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will be retained for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.
This site uses Google Analytics, one of the most widely trusted analytics solutions on the Web, to help us understand how you use the site and improve your experience. These cookies may track things such as how much time you spend on the site and the pages you visit so we can continue producing engaging content. You can prevent cookies from being set by adjusting your browser settings (refer to your browser’s Help section for how to do this).
